By using Happens ("the Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
1. What Happens is
Happens is a free, open family planner tool. It is provided as a hobby project for personal, non-commercial use. It is not a business-critical service, and should not be relied upon as your sole source of scheduling or task management.
2. Disclaimer of warranties
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE", WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free. We do not warrant that the results obtained from the use of the Service will be accurate or reliable.
3. Limitation of liability
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, THE CREATORS AND OPERATORS OF HAPPENS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, RESULTING FROM:
- Your use of or inability to use the Service
- Any errors, inaccuracies, or omissions in the Service, including missed events, tasks, or reminders
- Any unauthorized access to or alteration of your data
- Any loss of data, including calendar events, tasks, reminders, or dinner plans
- Any downtime or unavailability of the Service
- Any other matter relating to the Service
4. No guarantees on availability
The Service may be modified, suspended, or discontinued at any time without prior notice. We are under no obligation to maintain, support, or update the Service. We do not guarantee any uptime or availability.
5. Your data
You are responsible for maintaining your own backups of any data you enter into Happens. While we take reasonable measures to protect your data, we are not responsible for any data loss. Do not use Happens as your only record of important information.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or its related systems
- Interfere with or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure
- Use the Service in any way that could damage or overburden it
7. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless the creators and operators of Happens from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your use of the Service or your violation of these Terms.
8. Governing law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Norway, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Norway.

We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. The "last updated" date at the top of this page indicates when the Terms were last revised.
